When Pope Benedict
visited the United States, he had a much bigger impact than expected on the
American carnival, as evidenced by McDaniel Bros. Shows.
Texas-based show
owners Larry and Kim Sankowski, Armstrong Amusements, were Subway restaurant
owners and decided to take their business knowledge on the road. The show
specializes in Power Jumps (Euro Bungys).
The History of Train
Shows covers the beginning years of the Bill Hames Shows, a carnival that
owes its existence to a carousel.
Manufacturer’s
Showcase highlights Gold Medal Products Ribbon Element Fryer that features a
large oil capacity and a quicker recovery time. Also, Poly John Enterprises
offers a solution to the problem of personal sanitation with several units
designed for the traveling outdoor amusement industry.
Rob Berk, Berk Paper
Company, is not your ordinary paper distributor. Rob, who has been involved
with paper and plastic products for food concessionaires for over 30 years,
listens, learns and offers innovative solutions for some of the problems
that have been encountered.
Also, Arthur Rogers,
is a Berk Company sales rep who has been with the company for almost 20
years. He started out as a temp worker in the warehouse, and was given an
opportunity to grow with the company, an opportunity that has worked out
well for both Arthur and Berk Paper.
Modeler’s Corner
features several of the scale model coasters from Coasterdynamix and some
comments on rising scale model kit prices.
The Gooding’s
Amusement Company celebrated their 50 years in business with a commemorative
booklet. In part, it paid tribute to many of the individuals involved with
the carnival that helped it grow and prosper.
Get out those golf
clubs – it is time for the12th Annual Bruce Sellner Memorial Golf
Tournament. Players and sponsors are needed for this fun July event.
