In the April 2007 issue:
- The 2007 IISF Trade Show and Extravaganza, themed Casino Royale, was a sure bet for those attending the annual event. Exhibitors offering a full array of amusement industry-related products and services, social gatherings, and educational seminars and workshops were the order of the week.
- Under the auspices of the North Carolina Department of Labor, the annual safety meeting was held in Raleigh for ride owners seeking to operate amusement devices in the state in 2007. There are some changes in store that include ride inspection fees and better communications through the use of computers.
- It was the year of the “Flower” at the 2006 Orange County (California) Fair. Lot layouts show how the expansive Ray Cammack Shows filled the midway.
- Manufacturer’s Showcase puts the spotlight on a dual-component dispensing system from Mixpac Equipment; on new ride concepts from Majestic Manufacturing; and on personnel changes at Waterloo Tent & Tarp.
- In Midway Personality Mike Corbin is a man who has been searching for a home and believes he has finally found one with Crabtree Amusements.
- Do you remember the Sprinter from Texas-based L.M.C., Inc.? The ride offered up and down thrills that passengers craved.
- The History of Train Shows covers Imperial Expositions and the start of the Dodson’s World Fair Shows.
- Take a walk Down Memory Lane and reminisce with Gold Medal Shows.
- The Pack Your Bags section provides a list of a number of state and industry-related events, including safety and organization meetings, slated for the next several months
- The Now Booking for 2007 section provides the opportunity to check out the carnivals and concessions that may be available for booking your event
- Check out the new Carnival Exchange section that lists carnivals that need route help and have booking opportunities for rides and concessions
